Text to HEX
What this does
Shows the UTF-8 bytes of your text in hexadecimal. "Hi" becomes 48 69; "한" becomes ED 95 9C.
When to use it
- Building byte literals for code (
\x48\x69). - Comparing what two systems actually send when text looks the same but does not match.
- Checking for a BOM (
EF BB BF) at the start of a file.
Good to know
Two hex digits equal one byte. Characters outside ASCII take two to four bytes.
