Binary to Text
What this does
Reads groups of 8 binary digits and turns them back into characters. Spaces between groups are optional; a continuous string is split every 8 bits.
When to use it
- Decoding a message written in binary.
- Checking what a byte dump says.
Good to know
If a group is not 8 digits long, or contains anything other than 0 and 1, that character is skipped. Multi-byte characters (Korean, emoji) need all their bytes present.
