What this does

Creates random passwords of the length and character mix you choose (upper, lower, digits, symbols), generated in your browser so nothing is sent anywhere.

How long is long enough

  • 12 characters with all four types: fine for most accounts.
  • 16+: banking, email, anything with money or identity behind it.
  • Passphrases of 4–5 random words are as strong and easier to type.

Good to know

Use a different password per site and keep them in a password manager. Length matters more than clever substitutions.
