PNG to JPG
What this does
Converts a PNG to a JPG, usually cutting the file size by 60–90%. JPG cannot hold transparency, so any transparent area becomes a solid colour (white by default).
When to use it
- Photos and screenshots that are only going to be viewed, not edited.
- Email attachments and forms with size limits.
- Web pages where load time matters more than pixel-perfect edges.
Good to know
JPG is lossy: sharp text, thin lines and flat colours can show faint halos. For graphics with text, keep PNG or try WebP instead.
