What this does

Extracts the image inside an ICO file and saves it as PNG, keeping transparency. If the ICO holds several sizes, the largest is used.

When to use it

Reusing a favicon or program icon in a document or design.
Viewing an ICO on a phone or in an editor that does not open the format.

Good to know

ICO images are small by design — usually 256 px at most — so do not expect print quality.
