What this does

Converts most image formats (PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, TIFF) into JPG in one step. JPG is the most widely accepted photo format, so this is the fix when something will not open or upload.

When to use it

  • Camera or scanner output in an unusual format.
  • Screenshots saved as PNG that need to be small.
  • Batch of mixed formats that must be uniform.

Good to know

Animation (GIF) and transparency are dropped — JPG holds a single flat frame.
