What this does

Adds or removes Goods and Services Tax at any rate. Enter a net amount to get the GST and gross total, or enter a gross amount to back out the tax that is included.

Common rates

Australia 10%, New Zealand 15%, Singapore 9%, India 5/12/18/28%, Canada 5% (plus provincial).

Good to know

To remove GST from a gross figure divide by (1 + rate), do not subtract the rate — subtracting 10% from a GST-inclusive price gives the wrong answer.
