What this does

Converts WebVTT captions to SubRip (.srt), the format most desktop players, TVs and editing tools expect. Cue numbers are added and timestamps switch to comma decimals.

When to use it

Playing a downloaded web video in VLC or a TV with the subtitles.
Importing captions into a video editor.

Good to know

VTT styling, notes and region blocks are removed because SRT has no equivalent.
