Text to Binary
What this does
Writes each character of your text as its 8-bit binary code. "Hi" becomes 01001000 01101001. Characters outside ASCII are shown as their UTF-8 bytes, so "한" becomes three groups.
When to use it
- Teaching or learning how text is stored.
- Puzzles, escape rooms and coded messages.
- Checking exactly what bytes a string contains.
Good to know
The spaces between groups are for reading; remove them if a program expects a continuous bit string.
